Participatory visual arts project delivered in partnership with the Oldham Mela, Green Monster Arts, Extended Services, Arts Room and East Oldham District Partnership.

6 Breezehill and 6 Counthill pupils were brought together to work with Green Monster and decorate large fibre glass water-drop structures. The workshops were an opportunity to explore the concerns the children held about the new Academy. The pupils were asked to use the art work to detail their experiences, and celebrate the merge.

This art work was displayed at the Mela and will be permanently installed at the Academy when it opens. Public workshops were offered during the Mela, providing information about the project and allowing 200 people to design and take home their own ‘mini drop’.
