Saddleworth Folk Festival
18th July - 20th July 2008

The magnificent landscape of Saddleworth provided the ideal backdrop for this festival of folk music, song and dance. All in all there were over an impressive 70 events during the weekend, including several concerts featuring local, national and international artists. As well as musicians' sessions, singarounds, ceilidh, workshops, street entertainment, parade, craft fair, cafe culture and activites for children. The festival was opened officially on the saturday morning with a brass band concert.
