The 2008 Summer Showcase saw 41 diverse and inspiring events that over 25,000
people got involved in. In addition to all of this the Festival of Diversity launched a brand new volunteering initiative, Community Culture Volunteers. An exciting programme for people interested in gaining experience in event organisation, being involved in community art projects or simply be part of a fun team. Over 30 people took part in the Community Culture Volunteer Programme, gaining an array of skills, from building self confidence to working with a professional photographer
