Saddleworth Folk Festival
17th - 19th July 2009

Saddleworth is an ideal venue for a weekend festival of folk music, song and dance. The festival has over 70 events over the weekend, which include several concerts (featuring local, national and international artists), musicians sessions, singarounds, ceilidh, workshops, street entertainment, parade, craft fair, cafe and activities for children.

There is also an official Opening Ceremony on Saturday morning, followed by a free brass band concert.

The event takes place in several venues in the villages of Uppermill and Greenfield, and camping is available by purchase of a ticket, on Churchill Playing Fields.
