Why did you choose to become a Festival Volunteer?
To gain experience within community work, develop and increase knowledge within the field of community arts and to take part in something I enjoy over the summer.

Did the volunteering opportunities meet your expectations?
The opportunity went beyond my expectations. Being a part of the evaluation team really allowed me to become involved and feel important within the running of the events and allowed me to meet diverse and individual members of the public.

Would you recommend volunteering for the Festival?
Yes definitley. Being a volunteer allows you to become an active member of the community. It was interesting to understand how aspects such as language, theatre and art can engage a community together with positive effect.
